Heather Carreon is a Registered Nurse and IBCLC with more than 10 years experience with postpartum and breastfeeding mothers. Heather serves the Raleigh and surrounding areas.

“I was born and raised in southern WV where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After several years as a travel nurse and a residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital, we moved to Clayton in 2019 where we now raise a family.

Although I had extensive field knowledge as a lactation consultant and postpartum nurse, my personal breastfeeding experience as a new mother was definitely an educational process. I struggled in various ways with my own infants and sought help from colleagues. My personal journey has given me a new and relatable perspective about the breastfeeding challenges mothers face.

Without tailored guidance in the early weeks, breastfeeding can be very frustrating. My aim is to provide you with compassionate support and education to help families reach their breastfeeding goals.”
